May 1 marks Labour Day and Google has honoured the occasion by creating a doodle on its global homepage.
A clamp, a pair of gloves, insulating tape rolls, a wrench and a measuring tape is used to spell out the word Google to celebrate the achievements of workers.
Labour Day, or International Worker’s Day, is an appreciation of the working classes promoted by the international labour movement and is celebrated on the first of May in many countries including India.
Some other countries like the United States celebrate Labour Day on the first Monday of September.
