Oppo today announced the Find X7 Ultra in China, a phone that features not one but two periscope cameras. The company also claims that the phone packs “the biggest telephoto sensor in any smartphone.”

Powered by Qualcomm’s most powerful chipset yet – the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3, the Find X7 Ultra packs four 50MP Hasselblad-tuned cameras. Dubbed the ‘HyperTone Camera System’, the primary camera is powered by Sony’s second generation 1-inch sensor (LYT-900) with OIS that has an f/1.8 aperture.

The ultrawide sensor uses the newly unveiled Sony LYT-600 sensor with an f/2.0 aperture. The sensor comes with a 14mm focal length and can also capture objects as close as 4cm. As for the two periscope telephoto lenses, Oppo is using the Sony IMX980 sensor that offers 3x optical zoom whereas the second lens packs a Sony IMX858 sensor with 6x optical zoom. The company says it also supports 12x AI-enhanced zoom that enables the phone to handle focal lengths between 14mm to 270mm.

On the software side of things, Oppo says it is rolling the ‘HyperTone Image Engine’ that helps with HDR and problems like over-sharpening and over-exposure. The new software will also be available on existing devices like the Find N and Reno series in the coming days. It runs on ColorOS 14 based on Android 14 out of the box.

Other specs include a 6.82-inch 120Hz LTPO OLED screen with QHD+ resolution that has a peak brightness of 4,500nits backed by a 5,000mAh battery that supports 100W wired charging and 50W wireless charging.

However, the Oppo Find X7 Ultra to China will be limited to China, at least for the time being. The base variant of the Find X7 Ultra, which comes with 12GB RAM and 256GB storage costs CNY 5,999 (approx Rs 71,300), while the 16GB+256GB and 16GB+512GB variants can be purchased for CNY 6,499 (approx Rs 77,300) and CNY 6,999 (approx Rs 83,215) respectively.
