Nubia is expected to launch the Nubia N1 and Nubia Z11 smartphones in India on December 14, and the company had sent press invites to the media earlier last week. Now sources tell Indianexpress.com the Nubia N1 could be priced under Rs 12,000, while the Nubia Z11 might be available under Rs 30,000. Both the smartphones are set to be made available through Amazon which is not surprising given the earlier Nubia phones were also exclusive to the e-commerce site.

Nubia N1, which was first launched in China in July, comes with a 5.5-inch Full HD (1920×1080) display. It is powered by an octa-core Mediatek MT6755 Helio P10 processor paired with 3GB RAM and 64GB of expandable internal storage (up to 256GB). On the camera front, there is a 13-megapixel rear-facing camera an f/2.2 aperture, phase detection autofocus and LED flash. There’s also a 13MP front camera. The phone also houses a massive 5,000mAh battery. The Nubia N1 was priced at Yuan 1,699 (approx. Rs 17,000).

The other smartphone, Nubia Z11, is likely to be priced on a higher side. It was launched in June in China and comes with a 5.5-inch FHD (1920×1080) “bezel-less” curve display. Under the hood the smartphone is powered by a Snapdragon 820 processor, 4GB RAM and 64GB of expandable internal storage (up to 256GB).

On the back, there is a 16-megapixel camera with an f/2.0 aperture with phase detection autofocus, optical image stabilisation (OIS) and dual-LED flash. The secondary camera on the phone is an 8-megapixel shooter with an f/2.4 aperture. The 3000 mAh Li-ion battery on the Nubia Z11 can be quickly charged be via the USB Type-C charging port.  The smartphone was also showcased at IFA 2016.

Back in 2015, ZTE introduced the Nubia Z9 Mini in India, its first smartphone under its Nubia series. After the release, ZTE went quite and didn’t launch phones in the Nubia range. Now, Nubia is set to roll more smartphones on its own with a different strategy. While Nubia is still controlled by ZTE China, the online-only brand will go solo in India.
