At Build 2016, Microsoft has announced that its holographic computer running Windows 10, HoloLens is shipping to developers. HoloLens is an augmented reality headset that projects holograms around the vision of its user. HoloLens is priced at $3000 for developers and enterprise customers. Microsoft showcased the real capabilities of HoloLens at Build 2015 and this year it showed how developers have caught on with that idea. Microsoft's initial set of developer partners includes Autodesk, NASA's Jet Propulsion Lab, Lowe's, Japan Airlines to name a few. The most interesting use so far has been from Case Western Reserve University. The Case Western Reserve University has built hologram of human anatomy which makes it easier for doctors and research folks study human organs in better detail. HoloLens will be getting Windows 10 Anniversary update later this summer. HoloLens will be the most important product for Microsoft to stay relevant in the mixed reality space.
