India at Paris 2024 Paralympic Games Highlights: On an action-packed Sunday at Paris Paralympics, India won their 6th and 7th medals of the Games. Sprinter Preethi Pal added the 200m T35 bronze to the one she won in 100m earlier. Later, Nishad Kumar made it back-to-back silver medals as he repeated his feat from Tokyo by finishing 2nd in the men's high jump T47. Three more medals were confirmed in Para Badminton. Suhas Yathiraj defeated Sukant Kadam 21-17, 21-12 in the Men's Singles SL4 Semifinal. While Kadam will play for bronze, Yathiraj competes in the Men's Singles SL4 final. Meanwhile, in the Men's Singles SL3 semi-final, India's Nitesh Kumar beat Daisuke Fujihara 21-16, 21-12 in the semis. Earlier in the day, Manisha Ramadass had set up an-all Indian semifinal against her teammate Thulasimathi Murugesan, assuring India's first female medallist in para badminton at the Paralympics. It was Thulasi who won the match, prevailing 23-21 21-17.In SH6, Nithya Sre Sumathy Sivan defeated Poland's Oliwia Szmigiel in the Quarterfinal but later lost the semifinal against China's Lin. Nithya will now try and clinch the bronze. In para archery, there was heartbreak as Rakesh Kumar finished fourth on a day some of some really solid shooting. He reached the semi-final of the men's individual event after surviving a nail-biting shoot-off against Canada's Kyle Tremblay. He then lost out to China's Ai Xinliang in the semis and then the bronze medal match against He Zihao. There was to be no shooting final though. Avani Lekhara, Sidhartha Babu missed out on a spot in the Mixed 10m Air Rifle Prone SH1 while Sriharsha too missed out in his event. Scroll down below for Day 4 recap at the Paris Paralympics
