IPL 2024 Orange Cap Holder: Travis Head entered the fray for the top-run scorers of the 2024 Indian Premier League season following his quickfire 89 against the Delhi Capitals at the Arun Jaitley Stadium on Saturday.
With 324 runs off six innings, Head is now only behind Virat Kohli (361) – the current holder of the orange cap. Off his six innings, are two fifties and a century, which he scored against Royal Challengers Bengaluru in Sunrisers’ Hyderabad’s previous outing.
On Friday, KL Rahul entered the top-five contenders for the Orange Cap race in the Indian Premier League 2024 with his best score of the season so far as he scored 82* against the Chennai Super Kings on Friday.
Rahul now has 281 runs from seven innings and has pipped Sunil Narine to become the fourth leading run scorer of the season. Also among the top-five scorers are Riyan Parag and Rohit Sharma.

Every year when the Indian Premier League (IPL) season comes around, a lot of eyes are on the players who score the most number of runs in the season, thereby getting the Orange Cap.
Last season, current Gujarat Titans captain Shubman Gill won the Orange Cap with 890 runs. He was followed by Royal Challengers Bengaluru skipper Faf du Plessis who scored 730 and Chennai Super Kings Devon Conway with 672. RCB’s Virat Kohli was at number 4 with 639 while Yashasvi Jaiswal came in at 5 with 625.
