(AP)Australian openers Usman Khawaja and Nathan McSweeney, who safely negotiated a stop-and-start on the opening day fell to Jasprit Bumrah on Day 2 of the third Test at the Gabba.
India won the toss and sent Australia in to bat, rain first halted play for about 30 minutes in the sixth over. The showers returned about a half-hour later and until the scheduled lunch break. Khawaja was on 19 and McSweeney 4 and Australia was 28-0 after 13.2 overs, the only action of the day.
It was that man Bumrah again, who has troubled Australia in the series so far.

In the fourth over of the day, Bumrah got rid of Usman Khawaja. The Australian southpaw was struck on the crease to defend, and Bumrah found the faintest of the outside edges.
It took a while for umpire Richard Illingworth to raise the finger, but he eventually did and Khawaja’s poor run continues.
Nathan McSweeney fought during his 49-ball stay at the crease, but he always looked vulnerable.
Bumrah bowled one just back of a length and McSweeney was neither quite back and not quite forward and ended up nicking straight to Virat Kohli at the second slip.
Steve Smith and Marnus Labuschagne has survived Bumrah’s burst and easily negotiated the other Indian pacers.
Bumrah continued to trouble Marnus Labuschagne repeatedly, with Australian No 3 applauding and nodding, every time he was beaten.
The duo put together 38 runs for the third wicket.
Nitish Kumar Reddy got the prized wicket of Marnus Labuschagne. Marnus attempted the extravagant drive, gets a thick edge to Virat Kohli at second slip, who takes a good grab above his head.

An over earlier, Mohammed Siraj switched the bails and had an interesting exchange with Marnus. However, Marnus switched it back the moment Siraj walked back towards his bowling run up.
