After a heated morning session on the final day of the Ashes Test at Lords, Australian opener Usman Khawaja as well as David Warner were seen in animated discussions with members in the Long Room while walking back into the dressing rooms at Lunch. Both the Australian players were ultimately pacified by the security guards and their teammates as the bad blood spilled over off the field as well. Speaking to Sky Sports, England World Cup winning captain Eoin Morgan said, "I arrived here as a 16-year-old kid and was lucky to have played my whole career here and I have never seen scenes like that, particularly in the long room, never mind all the way around the ground. There is a huge sense of frustration and I can understand why. It is complete naivety around Jonny Bairstow's dismissal. Instead, he immediately left his crease and wicketkeeper Alex Carey simply tossed the ball into his stumps. Bairstow was confused and the umpires sent the decision upstairs, where he was ruled to have been run out. Bairstow left shaking his head after his brain fade, Stokes expressed his anger to the on-field umpires and Lord's came alive with chants. He was dropped by Pat Cummins on 77, a hard caught-and-bowled chance before his stunning assault on Green brought up his 13th test century off 142 balls.
