Former England all-rounder Andrew Flintoff’s younger son Rocky Flintoff left fans rubbing their eyes in disbelief with his uncanny big-hitting prowess.

In a video posted by the Lancashire, the teenager can be seen hitting sixes like his father. Flintoff was famous for his short-arm pull and hook shot and incredibly, it seems Rocky too has the same signature shot.

The 16-year-old batsman smashed three sixes and two fours in his unbeaten half-century for Lancashire’s second team against Durham 2nd XI on Thursday. Coming in at No. 5, Rocky hit a sublime, 78-ball half-century and ended unbeaten on 50 not out.

His elder brother Corey Flintoff, 18, was also playing for the Lancashire 2nd XI. bowled four overs in Durham 2nd XI’s first innings. Corey failed to take a wicket but conceded only 19 runs. Coming in at No10, he scored nine off 12 balls and was involved in small 13-run stand as well.

Flintoff has endured months of agony recovering from his crash on the BBC One’s Top Gear – which left him with “life-altering” injuries, including scars on his face.

But he’s defied the odds to take on multiple coaching roles in cricket, including with England’s senior team and The Hundred.

Flintoff, who has already mentored England’s white-ball side and he will lead Northern Superchargers in The Hundred this summer is also been linked in to assist Matthew Mott at the T20 World Cup in June.
