The Royals had also traded in Avesh Khan for Devdutt Padikkal from the Lucknow Super Giants and looking at his form in the 1st ODI against South Africa where he took 4 wickets, they will have no complaints about it. Avesh is a pretty experienced bowler in regards to the IPL as well, having taken 55 wickets in 47 league matches.
Even though they have 3 overseas slots left with the release of Jason Holder, Joe Root and Obed Mccoy, Royals will probably be keeping their eye out for domestic players like Sameer Rizvi, Swastik Chikkara, Ashutosh Sharma, Abhimanyu Singh and Saurabh Chauhan to add to their ranks. Historically a franchise that has unearthed gems from the domestic circuit, expect the Royals to do that again this year.
