India vs Australia Women's World Cup 2025 Highlights: There was a late surge from India after Alyssa Healy's colossal knock ended but Ellyse Perry, who returned after retiring hurt in the middle overs, finished the job and Australia chased down the target of 331. In the process, they broke the record for the highest succesfull chase in women's ODIs as well. India were earlier run over by Healy and Perry. Perry played herself in calmly and didn't allow India to take control after Shree Charani dismissed Healy's opening partner Phoebe Litchfield. Perry eventually walked off retired hurt after suffering a cramp running a single but Healy kept going and raised her century in just 85 balls. India have struck at regular intervals, eventually dismissing Healy for 142 off 107 balls, but Australia's sheer depth has kept them ahead in the game. Healy and Litchfield earlier played themselves in and were largely quiet for much of the first four overs as they opened Australia's chase of 331. The pair then took the Indian bowlers to the cleaners, smashing as many as 82 runs in the first powerplay. The stand ended on 84 with local girl Shree Charani providing India the breakthrough. Earlier, Smriti Mandhana and Pratika Rawal slammed 80 and 75 respectively as India built on the start given by the two openers to post 330 runs vs Australia. After the two openers departed, Harmanpreet Kaur and Harleen Deol steadied the ship before Richa Ghosh played another quickfire knock of 32 but India kept losing wickets in regular intervals. The pick of the Australian bowlers was Annabel Sutherland who snapped up 5 wickets. Australia won the toss and opted to bowl first against India in Visakhapatnam on Sunday in the Women's World Cup.
