India vs United Arab Emirates U19 Asia Cup 2024, Highlights: IND beat UAE by 10 wickets in Sharjah

This innings has been quite contrary to what has happened in the first innings. UAE took ever to get going in the innings. In fact every time they tried they lost a wicket. On the contrary India have not lost a wicket and running away game with here.

India is running away with the game here. They are playing well. Interestingly, there is only spin from UAE and they have been reluctant to use pace. Yes, tweakers have done better on this surface compared to pacers even after Indians are going after their bowling they might consider using spinners.

The chase has begun and India has come all guns blazing here. Vaibhav is going after the bowling here. If UAE is not careful it might happen quite quickly for UAE. This is the usual trait of Indian teams whenever they sense there is a chance they take the game away from the opposition.

That's it UAE has been bowled out here. It is a lame batting effort they lost their last three wickets for just 15 runs. It should not be much of a chase for India unlesss they manage to shoot themselves in the foot here.

UAE were runners up the last time and the way they have played against Japan things looked promising. However, coming up against India the batting lineup has gone undone here. There was no plan from the batters on how to approach this innings. It has been just start stop.

That was a poor shot from Ayobi. He swung the bat across the line and Chetan Sharma bowled stump to stump line and Ayobi missed the ball completely and got himself bowled. Another one down. He has looked Chetan Sharma did he in the last couple of games. 

We have reached the second water break and it has been smooth sailing thus far for India. They have been able to pick wickets regularly and the score that UAE has got themselves to is not that India would be worried about so far. 

Ayush gets a wicket. Rayan Khan who was batting well left a straight one and the ball hit the off-stump. He was batting well before playing that shocker of a shot UAE has lost now six wickets and is looking in deep trouble here. It is increasingly looking like India will take this game.

Rayan is batting well here. He has rotated the strike nicely. Off all the UAE batters he has looked good and positive. If he can chip in with a 60-80 run knock UAE can dream to get to that 200 mark. The wicket will get slow as the innings progress and UAE has couple of crafty left-arm spinners.

Spin is doing its bit here both Hardik and Karthikeya since coming into attack have picked up wickets. UAE has not lost five wickets after winning the toss and opting to bat first this is a poor showing from UAE. They would somehow hope they get a partnership here and take the score to around 200.

UAE needs a partnership here. The wicket is still good for batting. India managed to pile on a lot of runs in the last game in the first innings and because of the moisture the wicket holds up well and there will be some bounce on offer. However, as the moisture dries the uneven bounce starts to creep in. As we update Karthikeya picks Akshat.

Well, there is another wicket it is Hardik Raj this time who picked up the wicket of Ethan. The batter loosely drove at one outside the off-stump and got the edge to the keeper. UAE has lost three wickets now after winning the toss and opting to bat first.

This is a good start for India with the ball, especially after a tame effort in the last game. They did struggle to pick up wickets but today they seem to have learned their lessons they are pitching the ball a bit more and making the batters drive the ball which is inducing wicket.

Good opening spell for India. The powerplay has gone according to the plan for them. UAE after winning the toss and opting to bat first would have hoped for better results, however, they ended up playing too defensive cricket and lost two wickets now and even scoring is too slow.

Both new ball bowlers have picked two wickets now since our last update. First, it was Yudajhit who picked up Aryan with an incoming delivery with an incoming one and then Chetan bowled a wide one which Yayin Rai flashed one outside the off-stump to get the nick.

So far despite there not having much seam moment on offer the Indian bowlers have kept hitting the right lines and lengths which is the right thing to do. Though UAE openers have survived without losing a wicket there has been no feet moment to intent to go after the bowling.

Yudhajit and Chetan have taken the new ball for India and there is not much of a swing on offer as anticipated. This is a wicket which doesn't help usually the seamers with the new ball because of its slow nature however, it is early start there might be a little moisture in it.

India's U19 cricket team dominated Japan in the U19 Asia Cup, winning by a massive margin of 211 runs. Japan, who had previously struggled against UAE, struggled to score runs against India's bowling attack.

A 15-year-old Japanese player, Hugo Kelly, scored a half-century, but the team's overall performance was lackluster. India's bowlers, including Chetan Sharma, Hardik Raj, and Karthikeya, were impressive.

While Japan showed some promise against pace bowling, they need to improve their skills against spin bowling. (Read more)
