That's it. As we had feared, the match has officially been called off. The players shake hans and that's that from the middle. India win the series 2-0.
The second inspection might be because the rain has stopped and the covers are coming off. We'll know soon enough. Till then, stay tuned for more updates.
Still nothing much to report. The umpires have had an inspection and there'll be another one inspection at around 5.45 PM local time which is 10.15 PM IST, according to a Cricket Ireland tweet.
According to various reports, it's still raining there and the chances of a match happening looks very, very slim. We'll keep our fingers crossed till the official announcements though.
It's almost 9.15 PM and there has hardly being any improvement in the weather conditions. So unlikely the match will start by the alloted time and we are surely set to lose overs, if not the entire match.
"Update: The drizzle hasn't stopped yet. No overs lost so far but we we will start losing overs from 9:15 PM IST," reads a BCCI tweet.

India batter Shubman Gill on Wednesday moved up one spot to reach the fourth position in ICC rankings for batters in ODI cricket, while pacer Jasprit Bumrah and spinner Ravi Bishnoi also made gains in the shortest format
Rohit Sharma (c), Shubman Gill, Virat Kohli, Shreyas Iyer, KL Rahul, Suryakumar Yadav, Tilak Varma, Ishan Kishan, Hardik Pandya (v/c), Ravindra Jadeja, Axar Patel, Shardul Thakur, Jasprit Bumrah, Mohammed Shami, Mohammed Siraj, Kuldeep Yadav, Prasidh Krishna.
On Wednesday, India scripted history as ISRO’s ambitious third Moon mission Chandrayaan-3’s Lander Module (LM) touched down on the lunar surface, making it only the fourth country to accomplish the feat, and first to reach the uncharted south pole of Earth’s only natural satellite.
In a big boost to India’s space prowess, the LM comprising the lander (Vikram) and the 26 kg rover (Pragyan), made the soft landing near the south polar region of the Moon at 6.04 pm,,less than a week after a similar Russian lander crashed.
With this touchdown on moon in second attempt in four years, India has become the fourth country to master the technology of soft-landing on the lunar surface after the US, China and the erstwhile Soviet Union.
The inconsequential third game gives this think-tank a chance to check out players like Avesh Khan, Jitesh Sharma, Shahbaz Ahmed, who haven’t yet got a game in the series.
Varma closed the five-match T20I series against West Indies as top scorer for India with 173 runs, averaging 57.67 and scoring at a strike rate over 140.
“I never dreamed that I would be debuting directly in the Asia Cup in the ODI side. I always thought that I would be debuting for India but it is a big thing for me. Playing for India, that too in a single year I got a T20 debut and the next month I get a call for the Asia Cup. I’m just preparing for it,” said Tilak Varma.
“Those five sixes changed my life. People remember me for that moment. I was feeling great when they took my name and the love they have been showering me with,” Rinku Singh said during an interaction with his Indian teammate Ravi Bishnoi on BCCI.tv.
The weather for the second T20I is sunny and pleasant throughout the day however, a bit of rain is anticipated for the third T20I.
Arshdeep Singh has been in India’s go-to bowler in the T20I, since making his debut in July last year. The left-arm seamer has bagged 49 wickets in the 32 outings. But his death bowling has been a major concern in the recent past. He gave away 22 in the final over as Barry McCarthy smashed two sixes and a four in the last over. India might rope in Mukesh Kumar, who has recently made his debut in the all three formats in the West Indies. Mukesh was used only in the death overs by Hardik Pandya against West Indies and the Bengal pacer has impressed everyone with his yorkers. India bowling coach Paras Mhambrey says pacer Mukesh Kumar has shown potential to serve India in all three formats.
The average score batting first at Malahide is 167. Spinners might tend to struggle at this venue because of the small ground dimensions. The pacers might get help from the pitch but overall, it has always been a batting paradise.
