Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday hailed India’s victory over Australia in their World T20 cricket championship encounter in Mohali.(STATS || POINTS TABLE || FIXTURES)
“What a match! Proud of our team. Great innings @imVkohli & exemplary leadership @msdhoni,” he tweeted after India’s power-packed performance which saw the hosts win by six wickets.

India sealed their place in the semifinal with the victory in the do-or-die battle.

Earlier in the day, in his monthly radio programme ‘Mann Ki Baat’, Modi had said “They (India) are having a good momentum” and wished luck to both the teams.
He had said the Indian team has had a good run in the tournament with victories over Pakistan and Bangladesh.
