A Jayden Draper century notwithstanding, India u19 have won their second game in the Youth ODI series Down Under against Australia u19 by 51 runs. Coming in to bat after Australia were 64/4, Draper had resurrected the innings almost singlehandedly.

It was a bridge too far for them.

India U19 vs Australia U19 LIVE: The Draper show

CENTURY FOR JAYDEN DRAPER! OFF JUST 65 BALLS WITH 8 BOUNDARIES AND 5 SIXES. A STRIKE RATE OF 153!!

Three of those wickets, including captain Yash Deshmukh, had fallen at the cost of a single run. But Draper started attacking the Indian bowlers, smashing the ball past the ropes at will. So very circumspect Vaibhav Suryavanshi today so far who plays out eight balls without too much incident before smashing his first four. It was a full length ball, pitching just outside off stump and Vaibhav Suryavanshi does not need a second look at it before leaning into an aggressive cover drive on the front foot.

The ball's not coming on as much as it did in the first game at the same venue and the same pitch and Suryavanshi has adjusted his style accordingly. Great temperament.

India U19 vs Australia U19 LIVE: Suryavanshi off the mark

A very circumspect Vaibhav Suryavanshi so far today. Suryavanshi's taken six balls to get his first run of the innings. But that's okay, it's a 50-over game and he's already seen his opening partner and captain Ayush Mhatre getting out off a cross-batted shot. So he's checked his own tendency to try for cross-batted shots that were a signature of his first game 38.
