India's top scorer of the game was Abhigyan Kundu, who scored his second half century of the Australia tour before getting run out for 71. The team were given a flying start by Vaibhav Suryavanshi (70) and Vihaan Malhotra (70). All of India's top 5 batters, except captain Ayush Mhatre, got starts, but no one managed to get to the three-figure mark. Vaibhav Suryavanshi had an unusual start to the game: he scored just 10 runs off the first 29 balls, before finding his range and smashing his way to a quickfire 50 off 54 balls with three boundaries and five sixes. Suryavanshi broke the youth ODI record for most career sixes in the game. He surpassed Unmukt Chand's record 38 sixes in only 10 innings.
