All the bowlers used chipped in with wickets.
IND vs ENG 3rd ODI Live Cricket Score, Full Scorecard: Watch Here
With the bat England did get off to a flying start adding 60 runs in 6.2 overs. However as many times in the series before once both the openers fell the rest of the batting fell apart. The spinners in the middle overs restricted the English batters by picking wickets and squeeze them with maiden overs.

Arshdeep Singh (2/33) who came in place of Mohammed Shami bowled well and Harshit Rana (2/31) who once again was taken for a few with the new ball did come back in the second spell and broke the spine of the England batting order by picking Jos Buttler.

LIVE Cricket Score, India vs England 3rd ODI: IND beat ENG by 142 runs to win series 3-0 in Ahmedabad
Axar Patel picks up Gus Atkinson and that is a white-wash. It has been a pretty poor run chase from them. They had their moments in the second ODI as well with the bat but they just let crucial moments slip away. As per with the ball the attack they chose itself is questionable with the number of seamers they have got into the side. As per India, most things looked perfect but they need to find a method where they can pick wickets with the new ball. There are improvements needed for both sides going into the Champions Trophy despite the result of the series.
Live Cricket Score, IND vs ENG 3rd ODI: Hardik Pandya picks Wood
Hardik Pandya picks up Mark Wood England has lost nine wickets now. Nice little spell from Hardik Pandya he picked up a couple of wickets and got in five overs. Throughout the series, he has chipped in with the ball and bowled nicely. Going into the Champions Trophy his contributions will be key both with the bat and ball. The balance he brings to the table. India needs him fit and firing if they have to go deep into the tournament. We did see how much of an impact he had during the ICC T20 World Cup 2024 when he was fit and played through and through.
LIVE Cricket Score, India vs England 3rd ODI: Water break
Hardik Pandya picks up Adil Rashid. It was a short ball which Rashid tried to pull and the inside edge went onto the stumps. England has now lost Eight wickets and it should not take much longer after the break for the innings to get wrapped up. Neither have they picked-up spinners and neither did any point in this innings they looked equipped enough technically to deal with the slowness of the surface. There is no dew and Indian bowlers have made full use of it. Even in case the dew does come down now it won't be of any use as England have lost eight wickets and are close to losing this game.
Live Cricket Score, IND vs ENG 3rd ODI: Another one falls
Going into the Champions Trophy Indian batting order is looking well-oiled but it is the bowling which is looking a tad bit concerning in the absence of Jasprit Bumrah. Yes, they have managed to create timely breakthroughs in this series but in high-profile tournaments such as the Champions Trophy coming up against different batting orders, the spinners might just get unstuck like it happened in the semifinal of the 2022 World Cup in Adelaide. India needs to find a method to create those breakthroughs with the new ball and put pressure early on. As we update Washington Sundar picks up KL Rahul.
LIVE Cricket Score, India vs England 3rd ODI: Rana picks Brook
It is once again the middle overs where Rana strikes. He has the weapons in his armory to trouble the batters in the middle overs, as we have seen time and again in this series. As we update, Rana picks up Harry Brook. He tried to nudge the ball toward the third man. However, the ball trickled onto the stumps. This wicket just explains the day England has had in this chase. This is all falling apart quickly for the visitors, which essentially happens in chases like these final matches of the tours. It just cuts a sorry batting card for England at this point in time and a sorry series card as well.
Live Cricket Score, IND vs ENG 3rd ODI: Rana picks Buttler
Buttler departs and that must be it for England in this chase. It was Harshit Rana's hard length delivery which was stuck a bit in the surface and Buttler tried to play a shot through covers and got the inside edge onto the stumps. It is the same tale for England again in this game. Openers laid the foundation but once they fell it has been all one-way traffic. Going into the Champions Trophy not every spin attack will be as potent as this but they just need to assign roles to middle-order batters on how they go about their innings. Maybe England just needs the Afghanistan approach where Jonathan Trott has laid a splendid blueprint on how to bat in an ODI game.
LIVE Cricket Score, India vs England 3rd ODI: Will England fall off Cliff?
It is one of those run chases where a team cannot win in 25-30 overs but can definitely lose in it and that is what has happened with England today. But it was not due to reckless batting or some unnecessary shots played. It was some brilliant bowling from the Indian spinners and grip they were getting off the pitch that did the damage. England has struggled to deal with the Indian spinners there is no two ways about it. And the only time they did well against in the previous game it was Joe Root who held the key. With him gone now the innings might just fall of a cliff for England from here on.
Live Cricket Score, IND vs ENG 3rd ODI: Axar Patel picks Joe Root
Harry Brook has walked into the middle. England has scored 49 runs from overs 11-20. Given the start they got it is not bad but they have lost a bit of momentum with that innings. As we update Axar Patel picks up Joe Root. That is a massive blow. It is probably the wicket that might derail this chase for England. It was an attempted cover drive but the batter got thickish inside edge onto the stumps. That is a massive wicket for India with England needing to get a lot of runs. Jos Buttler has come into the crease and it will require a superhuman effort from here to take England at least close to the target.
LIVE Cricket Score, India vs England 3rd ODI: Banton departs
Tom Banton is batting well here. Playing his first game of the tour at no point did he look in discomfort he has played some cheeky reverse sweeps to put the spinners off their length. However, as we update Kuldeep picks up Banton. That was a cracking delivery from the left-armer. The ball pitched and turned away sharply from the batter and KL Rahul took the catch behind. It was a similar dismissal to Kohli's in the noon. And like Kohli Banton did review the decision, however, there was a spike as the ball went past the bat. That delivery will concern the English batters going forward in this chase because of the sharp spin.
Live Cricket Score, IND vs ENG 3rd ODI: Water break
England has managed this chase quite splendidly thus far. It is all about just building small partnerships and chipping away at that total. There is not much in the wicket at this point in time which is what England batting needs. However, having said that they need dew to come into play that will be the turning point in this game. If there is no dew Indian spinners will extract a lot more out of this wicket and the run rate going up will be extremely difficult for the hosts to handle on slowish wickets against the quality Indian spinners. Though there is no Jadeja, the likes of Kuldeep, Sundar and Axar can be quite effective on slowish wickets when opposition needs plenty to get.
LIVE Cricket Score, India vs England 3rd ODI: Slower ones sticking
The slower balls are sticking in the wicket as of now. Hardik Pandya is bowling slower bumpers which are troubling the batters quite a bit at this point. India might be wise in using spinners as well while the wicket is still slow and there is no dew. We have seen Adil Rashid get quite a bit of grip as the noon progresses today and this inning we have seen in powerplay itself that Arshdeep's knuckle balls were sticking in the wicket if Kuldeep can get at least turn one ball early on his innings that will give him a lot of confidence and will encourage him to give it quite a rip.
Live Cricket Score, IND vs ENG 3rd ODI: England's powerplay
Powerplay is done here and England did manage to get to 84 runs in it. They have laid the foundation for the chase and now it is all about steering through these middle overs and letting the foundation for the final overs. These are the kind of chases which cannot be won in the first 25-30 overs but can definitely be lost of the chasing team pulls the trigger and loses a few early wickets. There lies the experience of Root, Buttler and Livingstone in this chase to take this game as deep as possible. The dew factor in these middle overs is going to play a huge part in this game.
LIVE Cricket Score, India vs England 3rd ODI: Arshdeep Singh picks up Phil Salt
In all the three games India has played one thing they have failed to do is pick wickets early. They have given away quite a bit of chunk of runs before starting to pull it back which is mainly through spinners. As we update Arshdeep Singh picks up Phil Salt. It was a slower bumper and Salt tried to uppercut the batter and got high on the bat and the ball was carried to Axar at point. England has lost both their openers now and here is where the challenge for them begins. Their middle-order batters getting exposed to spinners who will come into the attack once the powerplay is done.
Live Cricket Score, IND vs ENG 3rd ODI: Arshdeep Singh picks Ben Duckett
Arshdeep Singh gets the breakthrough here and it is Ben Duckett. It was a knuckleball by the seamer and it dipped on Ben Duckett. The batter tried to hit through the long-on region but got beaten by the pace and the ball went high up in the air but Rohit Sharma completed the catch. Timely breakthrough for the hosts. A clever piece of bowling from Arshdeep Singh. Tom Banton has walked into the middle for England instead of Joe Root. It will be interesting to see how Banton approaches this chase. He is another naturally attacking batter in this side.
LIVE Cricket Score, India vs England 3rd ODI: Rana's new ball issues
It is quite the same problem with Rana. He has been hitting the hard lengths and hoping the ball will move off the seam but there is not enough grass in the wicket and there is not enough moisture as well. The ball is hitting on hard lengths and coming in straight lines which has been easy for the likes of Salt and Duckett to hit and target the boundaries. It is something he has to learn on how to pick wickets with the new ball. His spells have given the momentum away and time and again it has been the spinners who had to come back into the attack to create that breakthrough and also contain runs.
Live Cricket Score, IND vs ENG 3rd ODI: Arshdeep and Rana open bowling
Arshdeep Singh and Harshit Rana have taken the new ball for India. While Arshdeep Singh is looking for some swing moment there is not a lot Rana could extract with his seam position. Once again Rana is trying to pitch the ball in a hard length area and looking for seam moment in this surface to be fair to him there was quite a bit of it in the first innings. Arshdeep on the other hand will always look for swing first which is what Saqib did in the noon but did not get much reward. It is not completely dark yet here there is still a fair bit of sunshine in place which at times is counterproductive for swing bowling with the new ball in second innings.
LIVE Cricket Score, India vs England 3rd ODI: Welcome back!
Both the openers are in the middle. It is going to be an entertaining second half. Can England get there or not is a different matter but they will give it their all and this is one of the most dynamic batting line-ups in the World which can get to the total and do it in helter-skelter.
IND vs ENG LIVE Cricket Score: Adil Rashid during innings break
Nice to have contributed. (On how he varies his pace) Lots of practice but also about identifying what you are as a leg spinner. Once you get the ball in the right area with revs and drift in, it makes it difficult. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. Pitch looks a bit on the slower side. 356... we got to see how we go out and play. Obviously we will go in with the mindset to chase it down.
IND vs ENG 3rd ODI LIVE Cricket Score: Shubman Gill hits 7th ODI hundred vs England in Ahmedabad
Shubman Gill, India's vice-captain, scored his seventh ODI century in the third match against England. He reached this milestone in his 50th ODI match, making him the fastest batsman to reach 2500 ODI runs. This accomplishment further establishes his reputation as a rising star in international cricket. (Read more)
IND vs ENG LIVE Cricket Score: IND 356 all out (50 overs) vs ENG in Ahmedabad
India lose two more wickets in the final overs to get bowled out for 356 runs. It is a great total but will it be enough is something to be seen. Shubman Gill and Shreyas Iyer have played an excellent hand each for India to get to the current total. Apart from Adil Rashid none of the other bowlers looked in good rhythm for England. Though it looks like a massive total England does have a good batting lineup and the wicket does look brilliant to bat. However, time and again England's batting has shown in the series they are vulnerable to spin and it is that one weakness they need to get over today to get these runs. It will be quite an interesting chase do stay with us for all updates.
IND vs ENG 3rd ODI LIVE Cricket Score: No death bowling plans
These are good cameos from Sundar and Rana they are packing a punch here. Some lovely game awareness and brutal hitting from both of these batters. England seamers once again just don't seem to have any plans on how to contain the batters which has been always the case in this series throughout.
IND vs ENG LIVE Cricket Score: Mahmmod picks KL Rahul
That was a cracking yorker by Saqib Mahmood to get rid of KL Rahul. The batter tried to whip the ball on the leg side but missed it completely. The umpire had no hesitation in raising his figure up. Rahul did send it upstairs but it was all reds there. Good innings from Rahul but he would have wanted to a half-century next to his name which would have given him some confidence going forward. Harshit Rana has walked into the middle. India is on course to get the 350 mark but will it be enough is something to be seen. If there is no dew Indian tweakers will come into play but if there is England batters will enjoy the conditions.
IND vs ENG 3rd ODI LIVE Cricket Score: Patel gets Root and India's finishing woes
Axar Patel departs it is Joe Root who gets the wicket. Patel tried to take on the bowler and was caught at long-on. Buttler kept trying to make Root work when there were right-handers in the middle it did not show results however, once the left-hander came in and match up worked. One thing which is a bit of concern for India is the finishing from them has not been quite solid yet. They have lost a few quick wickets as they have reached the finishing line in the first two games and here too just when they needed a solid punch at the end they have been losing wickets at quick succession.
IND vs ENG LIVE Cricket Score: Rashid picks Hardik
Adil Rashid has bowled another cracking delivery here to get rid of Hardik Pandya. He hit a couple of sixes did Panya before getting out. The ball was pitched on the middle and leg while Hardik with his stride forward defended the ball however, it did spin sharply and took the off-stump of Pandya. Once again it is Rashid. While not to sound like a broken record from our end but England having another spinner in this line up we just might have had a different series altogether. Someone like Rehan Ahmed would have been real handful in all of these surfaces.
IND vs ENG 3rd ODI LIVE Cricket Score: Rashid the difference maker
It was a nothing-shot from Shreyas Iyer. It was a ball down the leg-side and he tried to glance it. However, was caught by the keeper Salt. Once again it is Adil Rashid who gets the wicket. While the other bowlers have struggled he has been one guy who has been able to pick wickets at regular intervals and ensured that there is some damage control. If not for Rashid, India could have easily posted around 400 today. It is his wickets through the middle overs that have paused the run flow. Having said that India has Hardik and KL Rahul in the middle and if they start fireworks the score can be anything here in no time.
IND vs ENG LIVE Cricket Score: Iyer departs
Getting to 350 from here on would be mandatory for India. They have done all the hard work to get to this position. However, in the last couple of games we have seen a bit of vulnerability shown by the lower order and late middle order batters in the run chase but today it is different with not much pressure. KL Rahul can take his time in the middle to get adjusted to the pace of the pitch while Iyer is going at the tempo he is. However, once Rahul himself gets in he has all the shots in the book to accelerate in the final overs. As per England they would be hoping for dew to come in and help them in the chase. As we update Rashid picks up Iyer.
IND vs ENG 3rd ODI LIVE Cricket Score: Shubman Gill departs
Shubman Gill departs and it is Adil Rashid yet again who has got the wicket. However, the opener did the job he laid the foundation for the batters coming from here on to capitalise. As per England, it is Rashid yet again who is creating the breakthrough. Apart from him none of the other bowlers have looked effective. Maybe Mark Wood with his pace early on has looked threatening but once the ball got older he too didn't seem to have another trick to put batters in trouble. KL Rahul has walked in for India and it is an important innings for him. He too has been going through a rough patch and needs some runs ahead of the Champions Trophy.
IND vs ENG LIVE Cricket Score: Water break
Shreyas Iyer has got to his fifty as well. Both the Indian batters have got their eye and are looking in fantastic touch. The likes of Shreyas Iyer have not played a shot in anger. He kept the tempo right and did not play a shot in anger to get the score he did. One of these two can change the gears here and be more proactive. India is looking good for a massive score. Despite the ball has gotten older it still seems to be coming nicely onto the bat. Additionally, England seamers don't seem to have the skills to bowl those slower cutters and see if the odd ball sticking in the pitch.
IND vs ENG 3rd ODI LIVE Cricket Score: Gill scores 100
With a beautiful clip through mid-wicket, Gill has brought up his century here. It has been a brilliant innings from the Indian opener. Going into the Champions Trophy these are good signs for India. All of the top four have contributed in some capacity and batting order seems to be settled. As per Gill, it has been one of textbook ODI innings. He looked in touch right from ball one he did chance his arm with a few risky shots early on but in the midst of that there was hard running between the wickets and some crips shots on leg-side. It just has been flawless 10/10 innings thus far.
IND vs ENG LIVE Cricket Score: Iyer's brilliance
Shreyas Iyer once again has batted brilliantly here. He went about his innings smoothly. This has been the feature of his batting since coming in at four. He did have a brilliant World Cup 2023. It is not just one tempo batting whenever it feels like bowlers are getting on top of him he does have a range of shots to put pressure back on the bowlers. Especially against spinners against whom he tends to be severe as if they miss on their lines and lengths. One thing though praiseworthy in this series has been how he has been able to deal with the short ball. He came up with a method that has been working wonders for him.
IND vs ENG 3rd ODI LIVE Cricket Score: Another 50-run stand
Shreyas Iyer and Shubman Gill have now put on a 50-run stand. This is what India needed to put into bat first keep building partnerships with one batter anhcoring the innings nicely. Iyer once again like some of the other modern batters tends to play at quite a healthy clip. England is bringing in the changes but those are not working yet. The bowlers they needed better plans to contain the batters and pick wickets. Apart from Adil Rashid none of the other bowlers seem to have plans which can pick wickets. Time and again they have slipped in deliveries which are hittable to boundaries in these middle overs instead of trying to build pressure by bowling tight overs.
IND vs ENG LIVE Cricket Score: Shubman Gill batting well
Shubman Gill in Ahmedabad has becomes a different player altogether and once again today he is playing a sublime inning. He did look in good form in both Cuttack and Nagpur but today he batted with a different confidence altogether. One thing which has improved in Gill's game which has come leaps and bounds is his ability to clear the boundaries which he had his fair issues with when he was at Kolkata Knight Riders but the way he evolved has been a joy to watch. Especially when he is batting in full flow his stroke play is not something any cricket fan would want to miss it.
IND vs ENG 3rd ODI LIVE Cricket Score: Adil Rashid's flighted delivery
Where Adil Rashid has been brilliant in this series is his slower ball. He just took too much pace off and bowled it around 65-75 KPH which pitched and turned. Once again that delivery to Kohli was beautifully bowled it was classic leg-spinner and he is not doing that with every delivery he is picking and choosing his moments to bowl that ball and when the ball is getting old it is turning square. It will be interesting to see how that ball will respond to the pitch once the ball is about 20 overs old today. Shreyas Iyer has walked into the middle and India needs another partnership here.
IND vs ENG LIVE Cricket Score: Kohli gets 50 and out
Both Shubman Gill and Virat Kohli have reached half-centuries here. This has been the ODI batting of the highest order. Gill especially has not been all single tempo just when bowlers were settling on a length Gill would dance down the ground or put his weight on the back and play an attacking shot to disturb the rhythm of the batter. As we update Adil Rashid picks up Virat Kohli. It is once again a slower one the ball pitched and turned nicely and Kohli edged it to the keeper. Time and again Rashid has troubled Kohli and it is almost identical deliveries ball pitching and turning away.
IND vs ENG 3rd ODI LIVE Cricket Score: Water break
We have reached the water break here. And it has been India's passage so far. Though they did manage to pick an early wicket they just could not maintain the pressure after that. The likes of Saqib and Gus Atkinson do have the pace but seem to be just a tad bit undercooked in these conditions. The plan on how to pressurise the batsmen seems to be just one or two which might work against a few sides but this Indian team has plenty of players for whom the ODI cricket is bread and butter and to deal with them or trouble them England needed better plans.
IND vs ENG LIVE Cricket Score: Nice partnership brewing
The partnership is racing along nicely here. Kohli and Gill are batting superbly. They are mixing the right balance between attack and defence is scoring over 6s at the moment. The way India is scoring at the moment they need to be able to get to around 300-mark even if the ball gets softer and batting becomes difficult. However, the most important thing to do to get there is for one of these two batters to play till 40-45th over and let the batters coming in at the other end take chances. As of now, both players are batting superbly and India would now want to stretch this partnership as long as possible just to have a solid foundation in this game.
IND vs ENG 3rd ODI LIVE Cricket Score: Root into attack
Joe Root has been introduced into the attack which is quite a gamble by Buttler with both right-handers in the middle. Root does have a knack for picking wickets and in a Test match in 2021 he did pick a five-wicket haul in this very ground. The conditions were quite different back then and are different today. Meanwhile, Atkinson who has been taken to the cleaners in the last game has been introduced from the other end. Double change for England and this is the passage where they would be looking to tighten these two batters.
IND vs ENG LIVE Cricket Score: Challenge to Buttler the captain
The thing to watch out for today will be how Buttler will rotate his bowlers. In the first two games he had to defend a total hence at times he was proactive and gave the bowlers shorter bursts however, today they are bowling first, and assuming they will bowl fifty overs stacking up Adil Rashid's over will be very interesting to see as he got better and better as his spell went on in the first two games. The likes of Liam Livingstone too were thrown the ball more as a gamble than as a fifth bowling option to pick wickets. Different test for Buttler the captain today.
IND vs ENG 3rd ODI LIVE Cricket Score: Hoping to get tons
Virat Kohli has got to a start here. He playing some lovely shots down the ground. He is looking in good touch here does Kohli. Going into the Champions Trophy 2025 he needs some runs under the belt just to get some confidence. Rohit did manage a ton in the last game and given the way Kohli started he would be looking to get one as well. Meanwhile Shubman Gill at the other end is looking in sublime touch. In both the games in this series, he has looked in good form but he could not convert it into a century. Gill too would be hoping to convert the innings into a big score.
IND vs ENG LIVE Cricket Score: Saqib ineffective
While Wood is bowling well from one end, Saqib has not his lengths yet. He is looking to look for a moment but there is not much on offer for him. However, Wood with his extra pace is troubling the batters. However, whatever the seam moment he did get with the ball early on will dry up pretty quickly. It will be interesting to see how this pitch responds as the ball gets older and softer. We have seen in the famous World Cup 2023 final and other occasions it gets tougher and tougher to bat as the ball gets older however, do England seamers have the skill set to utilize the ball is something to be seen.
IND vs ENG 3rd ODI LIVE Cricket Score: Squares up
Rohit's wicket is quite a concern yet again. Though he did score a magnificent 100 in his previous game he wasn't tested with such line and length in the previous game. It was the same area where Rohit had struggled. He is getting squared up to deliveries the moment the ball is pitched in around that middle stump and him trying to play the ball on the leg side. However, he changes the bat angle in the final moments to cover the line of the ball when it moves late. It just might be the byproduct of him trying to be too attacking in white-ball cricket which has brought upon the flaw in his game.
IND vs ENG LIVE Cricket Score: Wood picks Rohit
Saqib Mahmood took the new ball for England and he pitched a few up and tried to swing the balls however, there was not much help. It is a black soil wicket once again similar to Cuttack. As we update Mark Wood has been introduced into the attack and he has picked up Rohit Sharma. It was a cracking delivery from the new ball bowler. The ball pitched on around the middle stump and it moved slightly away from the stumps to take the outside edge and carried to the keeper behind. After scoring a ton in the previous game this a failure for Rohit and once again it is him staying on the backfoot.
India vs England Live Score, 3rd ODI: Let's go!
The sun is shining bright here and it is an interesting call from England to bowl first. We have seen during the 2023 World Cup them having troubles in the heat of such. They are also playing four seamers in this attack which is a little odd call in this heat. Anyways both openers are in the middle and we are minutes underway from action.
India vs England LIVE Cricket Score: Pitch report by Deep Dasgupta and Graeme Swann
This one is right in the centre, 66m to the left and right and 74m straight down the ground. This is the same pitch used for the World Cup final, black soil pitch. It played slower in the first half and better for batting in the second half. The hessian has just come off so it's a bit damp but there is still time left before play starts it should dry out. There are some cracks that could keep the bowlers interested. Looks like a bowl first wicket. One of those pitch where if a batter gets in he can score but it might not be easy for the new comer. Dew is a concern, there was a lot of dew last night
India vs England Live Score, 3rd ODI: ENG playing XI
Philip Salt(w), Ben Duckett, Joe Root, Harry Brook, Jos Buttler(c), Tom Banton, Liam Livingstone, Gus Atkinson, Adil Rashid, Mark Wood, Saqib Mahmood
India vs England LIVE Cricket Score: IND playing XI
Rohit Sharma(c), Shubman Gill, Virat Kohli, Shreyas Iyer, KL Rahul(w), Hardik Pandya, Axar Patel, Washington Sundar, Harshit Rana, Kuldeep Yadav, Arshdeep Singh
India vs England Live Score, 3rd ODI: Jos Buttler at toss
We are gonna bowl first today. Little bit maybe, it may spin a bit later. We have batted first in the first two games so it will be a different experience today ahead of the Champions Trophy. It's a decent wicket, we played New Zealand in the World Cup a few years ago, it was a black soil pitch and it played better in the second half. We have one change - Tom Banton comes into the side.
India vs England LIVE Cricket Score: Rohit Sharma at toss
I wanted to bat first and put runs on the board because we bowled first in the last two games. It was important for us to get a win in the last game. The fielders potrayed themselves well in the last two games, a lot of young blood. We want to continue to do well in the field. They are pretty new in their careers so we want to keep the pressure away from them. let them do their own and they have got a lot of potential. We have made some changes - Jadeja and Shami have been rested, unfortunately Varun has a sore calf. So, Washi, Kuldeep and Arshdeep come into the side.
India vs England Live Score, 3rd ODI: Strong white ball play
While Rohit Sharma is generally a strong white-ball player, he hasn't quite mastered the swivelled Nataraja pull shot off the front foot against the new ball, likely due to a slight slowing in his weight transfer. Otherwise, he's generally effective on good batting pitches. His main vulnerability remains against lateral movement, particularly with the new ball, where his tendency to play straight lines can be exploited, as was seen in Australia.
India vs England LIVE Cricket Score: Rohit's on his century
“I really broke it down into pieces about how I wanted to bat,” he said after the game. “It’s a 50-over format, a little longer than the T20 format and a lot shorter than Test cricket – but obviously you still need to break it down and assess what you need to do at regular intervals and that is what I kept doing. It was important for a batter who gets set to bat as deep as possible, and that was my focus.”
India vs England Live Score, 3rd ODI: Silencing doubhts
Rohit Sharma silenced any doubts about his ODI form with two early, powerful shots in the second ODI against England. A flicked six and a hit over long-off demonstrated his signature style and confidence. This suggests a return to form, possibly sparked by a similar shot played in a Ranji Trophy match despite a poor overall performance in that game.
India vs England LIVE Cricket Score: How pitch might play
The Narendra Modi Stadium is known for offering a balanced pitch that provides assistance to both batters and bowlers. The surface generally starts with good bounce and carry, favoring fast bowlers in the initial overs. As the game progresses, the pitch tends to settle down, making batting easier, especially under lights. The pitch at Narendra Modi Stadium is expected to be good for batting, with some assistance for pacers early on. Spinners will be crucial in the middle overs, and a first-innings score of 270+ will be competitive.
India vs England Live Score, 3rd ODI: ENG player to watch out for
England's batting lineup has been consistently collapsing in both the T20Is and ODIs, wasting the strong starts provided by openers Salt and Duckett. Captain Buttler acknowledges the team is still developing, but the loss of Jacob Bethell to injury is a setback. While Joe Root has performed well, other key batsmen like Harry Brook have been inconsistent, preventing England from capitalizing on good batting conditions.

India vs England Live Score, 3rd ODI: How will weather play
The weather forecast for the India vs England 3rd ODI in Ahmedabad on Wednesday is excellent for cricket! Expect clear skies with no chance of rain. It will be warm during the day (around 31 degrees Celsius) and cool down to 15 degrees in the evening. Humidity will be around 38%, which might be a factor for the players. Overall, conditions look perfect for a full, uninterrupted match.
India vs England LIVE Cricket Score: Jos Buttler on his team's batting.
