India vs Bangladesh 4th women’s T20I Highlights: Asha Sobhana, Harmanpreet Kaur shine as India win by 56 runs (DLS)

BAN captain Nigar Sultana: We played too many dots in the powerplay as a batting unit. We have shown intent in the end, Shorifa showed to how play actually, being brave. This is a very young team. We will make a decision on selection preparing for the World Cup.

A lovely interview with Asha Sobhana in the end: I was feeling so blessed to be part of the national team. This was everything I was waiting for 12-13 years. From 2012, I was in probable, now in 2024, getting the India cap... it's been the dream. Age is just a number, of course, never give up. 

Throughout that interview, her teammates was cheering her on while she struggled to get words out  through all the smiling. 

Two wickets for Deepti Sharma, two wickets for Asha Sobhana on debut, including the prized wicket of Nigar Sultana. Another Bangladesh batting effort that barely got going. 

INDIA TAKE A 4-0 LEAD IN THE SERIES: Another dismal batting performance by a struggling Bangladesh batting unit. India perhaps had their best batting day too, scoring 122/6 in 14 overs in a rain-hit clash. 

Rabeya's energetic knock comes to an end. Pooja has been bowling well at the death overs, bangs one in short and gets the batter to loop on to mid-on, Shafali with an easy catch.

Shorifa with a well-struck lofted shot over midwicket, another four. Radha finishes her spell with 1/12 in 3 overs. 

Bangladesh need 65 off 12 balls. 

The match has been all but over for a while now but this has been at least a decent resistance from lower down the order. Some display of intent. Rabeya gets another four, lofting one down the ground. 

Oh, half a chance! Shorifa dances down the track and hits one back at the bowler but it flies past a halfhearted attempt from Asha. Could have probably done better there. Goes for four. 

That is a second wicket for Asha, a classic leg-spinner's. Tossed up, inviting the sweep, taking the leading edge. Richa makes no mistake.

This has been an almighty collapse under scoreboard pressure. Bangladesh's batting unit continues to struggle. Ritu finds Shafali at mid-on with unfortunate precision.

Oh nearly a 2nd for Asha! First, she beats Shorna with a peach of a legspinner. Later in the over, Shorna (correction) mishits a short ball but manages to find the gap four four.

ASHA STRIKES: Not bad for a first international wicket! Asha Sobhana's straighter one beats Bangladesh captain Nigar Sultana Joty, that looked quite plumb. Nigar played for the spin, beat her on the inside edge. Lovely moment for Asha on debut.

RUN OUT! Rubya's stay is over after a massive mixup, not for the first time in this series for Bangladesh. Rubya hit it to Mandhana at cover, took off, but Nigar was in no mood for that single.

DEEPTI STRIKES: Dilara's somewhat chaotic stay in the middle ends. Goes for a sweep, Deepti yorks her. Plumb in front. 

Great speed across the turf from Sajana, good dive to save the ball but nearly touched the rope with her backleg. Third umpire decides it's not a four though, so goes down as a good effort. Pooja with a 6-run over as Bangladesh can just rotate strike at the moment. 

A couple of LBW appeals from Asha in that over. No nerves, tidy from the leggie.

Boundary-hitting has been a massive area of concern for Bangladesh. Rubya hits Radha through extra cover for a four. But tidy over by Radha. 

Dilara continues to live dangerously. Rubya Haider is the new batter in. 

Deepti floats one outside off, turns away from Murshida. Could have been stumped but Deepti and Richa are convinced that this is caught behind and the umpire eventually agrees.

Titas was perhaps taken back by the pace of the throw from Harman, but she had to do better there. Deepti Sharma now into the attack.

OH DEAR! Comedy of errors there. Dilara skies one, Asha on her debut drops a high catch. Then Harman fires in a throw, that Titas should have gathered and effected a run out. Poor from the bowler too there. Titas much more effective to the left-hander around the wicket. 

Dilara hogging the strike in the first couple of overs, helps herself to another boundary through square leg as Pooja went short. Good over otherwise from the seamer. 

Dilara has shown good intent in flashes at the top of the order. A fine cut shot for four over point but struggled to put bat on ball otherwise. Titas didn't really test the stumps in that over. Kept at a wider line. 

Titas Sadhu will begin proceedings for India with the ball, her first outing of the series. Bangladesh have never chased that many in a 20-over match at home, so a big ask for a struggling batting unit, 

The revised target is 125 for Bangladesh based on DLS method. 

There should a revision of Bangladesh's target since the overs were reduced. We await confirmation. 

POOJA OUT LAST BALL: A good last over from young pacer Marufa all said and done. Vastrakar caught at long on as she tried to go big. Sajana managed to squeeze a boundary in the last over. Good finish from India, all told. 52/3 in the last 5 overs.

Harman falls: Good effort from Harmanpreet to try and get back for a second run, puts in a dive but falls short.

10 runs from Nahida's over, including a boundary for Harmanpreet who has accelerated quite well 

2 overs left. Sajana joins Harmanpreet in the middle. 

RICHA GHOSH FALLS: A six down the ground but falls soon after. Cleared long on but then sliced one to long off. Richa with a handy 15-ball 24, once again showing why she is so crucial down the order. Terrific on-drive for four from Harman to start the over. 

Richa Ghosh c Shorifa Khatun b Rabeya Khan 24 (15 balls) 

Harman starts the over with a fine cut shot for four, latching on to a short ball from Shorifa. The second four is a bit more streaky, under-edge goes past the keeper. Richa then shows off her lovely wristwork, slicing over point for another four. Big over for India. 

Harman with a show of intent but finds the fielder at long off, but Richa manages to find the boundary by going straighter down the ground. Harman retains strike after tapping to cover for a single. The lack of pace on the pitch is not making strokemaking easier but India must push themselves here. 

Harmanpreet unable to find the boundaries since the restart, she needs to get a move on, this is effectively death overs batting here. India have the depth too for five more overs. Tidy over from Nahida, just four off it, 

Richa Ghosh starts off with a cut shot for four. Can India get past 120-130 or so? 

SMRITI MANDHANA FALLS! Oh dear, she was SO EARLY into that shot. Rabeya tosses one up, that was Poonam Yadav-esque in terms of speed. Mandhana comfortably beaten, would have been stumped if not bowled.

The outfield has gotten heavier here. A slog sweep from Mandhana falls short of the fielder at deep midwicket, as the opener gets away with another mishit. 

A boundary for Mandhana on restart. Short ball on her pads, she plays that swivel shot that ended her knock last match. This time it falls short of the fielder and spins away. 

14yo Habiba will finish her over. India will have to go hard here, their score will be revised anyway once they bat out the 14 overs. 

Here we go then. The umpires are making their way to the middle. Bangladesh are in a huddle. Smriti Mandhana and Harmanpreet Kaur are ready. Time for a restart.

The cover has been taken off, the tires that were in place to hold them down are being rolled out, and the curator is getting the stumps in place. The players are starting to make their way out as well. Could we actually have a quick restart? 

The match officials are in the middle now as per the live pictures. They have their umbrellas down, having a chat with the groundstaff. Work starting to take place on the outfield by the looks of things, have to wonder how much damage it took though. The umpires are now in conversation with India head coach Amol Muzumdar. 

A look at Hemalatha's scoring areas. Hemalatha's wagon wheel from the 2nd & 4th T20Is. Shots over cover have been a standout feature of her game & in these cameos, once again impressive how she targetted that area. The straight six today though was superb. When Jemimah and Yastika are fit, will India still go with Hemalatha after her knocks this series? She could be used lower down the order too, a problem area for the squad. Oh looks like it is a hail shower actually! Saika, Renuka and Shreyanka are collecting some souvenirs quickly but now it is gloomy and pouring. 

Habiba continues, Harmanpreet plays a cheeky scoop behind the stumps for a four. And shortly after, rain comes in!

HEMALATHA FALLS! Another lovely shot for six but that innings didn't last long, out for a 14-ball 22, but once again good early intent from Hemalatha. Making a decent case for that No 3 slot, but ideally should have carried a bit on longer given the competition. It was the signature in-dipper from young Marufa, Hema missed the line and got struck on the back leg.
