A team of ICC officials visited the Feorz Shah Kotla early on Sunday for a thorough inspection for the upcoming World T20 matches to be held at the venue. Delhi is scheduled to host both men's and women's fixtures, including a semi-final clash. The team inspected every section of the stadium and took detailed notes and photographs during their recce lasting over eight hours. DDCA officials accompanied the team during the visit. DDCA working president Chetan Chauhan said the visiting team was happy with the stadium. "We recently hosted the fourth Test between India-South Africa, so everything was in order. I would say it was very positive and there were no complains or issues raised by the inspection team. It was a routine job but it's good that it went smoothly," said Chauhan. The inspection team, however, raised the concern for dressing rooms. On March 26 and 28, both men's and women's teams would compete at the venue and the team wants another dressing room to accommodate the teams playing the evening fixtures. Also, two women's fixtures would take place at Kotla on the 24th. "They wanted to have another dressing room and we have identified the space for that. Since it had to be close to the practice nets, we would use a hall we have near the current dressing rooms. That shouldn't be a problem," said Chauhan. There were a couple of more concerns about a box for the radio commentators and a location for on-sight broadcast studio. Both, Chauhan informed, have been agreed upon and would be in place for the fixtures. Apart from boxes and dressing rooms, the ICC team also identified and informed DDCA about the locations they wanted for their quota of 290+30 tickets.
