England all-rounder Ben Stokes is set to miss the third Test against India regardless of the outcome of his trial for affray at Bristol Crown Court as the England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) named an unchanged 13-man squad for the Nottingham Test, set to begin on Saturday. There are speculations in the local media that Stokes, who is also facing a cricket discipline case for his involvement in a Bristol nightclub brawl, could also miss out on the rest of the Test series. The 27-year old's trial is not expected to conclude before Wednesday. Stokes, who missed the second Test as well, had played a key role in the first Test at Birmingham, taking four wickets in the second innings including the crucial one of captain Virat Kohli. England retained uncapped Essex paceman Jamie Porter and off-spinner Moeen Ali, both of whom missed out on a place in their XI in London. England lead the five-match series 2-0 after defeating India by an innings and 159 runs in the second Test at Lord's. They had previously won the first Test in Birmingham by 31 runs. Joe Root's side will hope to win the third Test at Trent Bridge to clinch the ongoing series. Squad: Joe Root (capt), Alastair Cook, Keaton Jennings, Olliver Pope, Jonny Bairstow, Jos Buttler, Sam Curran, Chris Woakes, Adil Rashid, James Anderson, Stuart Broad, Moeen Ali, Jamie Porter.
