Former India bowler Anil Kumble picked out the players he thinks who are most underrated in the Indian Premier League in a recent video for JioCinemas. "That's a tough one. Underrated player. In recent past, I would say Mayank Agarwal as an underrated player. From a bowling perspective, I don't think he gets as much credit, but what he has done, Yuzvendra Chahal has changed the fortunes of whichever team he has played for.” Agarwal was recently bought by the Sun Risers Hyderabad in the mini auction in December last year for Rs 8.25 crores after he was let go from the Punjab Kings after a rather underwhelming IPL 2022 campaign. Since debuting in 2011, Agarwal has scored 2327 runs in 113 matches. Chahal, meanwhile, is a vital cog in the Rajasthan royals machinery having won the Purple cap last year with 27 wickets. Since his debut, he has played 131 matches and taken 166 wickets. Incidentally Mayank's SRH will open the campaign this year against Chahal's RR on 2nd April in Hyderabad. The IPL will start on March 31 with defending champion Gujarat Titans facing off against Chennai Super Kings at the Narendra Modi Stadium. All teams will play seven home and as many away matches. There are 12 venues for tournament that include Ahmedabad, Mohali, Lucknow, Hyderabad, Bengaluru, Chennai, Delhi, Kolkata, Jaipur, Mumbai, Guwahati and Dharamsala.
