Australia’s Chris Rogers on Thursday scored 95–his seventh consecutive Test fifty— against arch-rivals England on the second day of Ashes in Cardiff.
However, he fell short of a well-deserved century since February 2014 which he scored it against South Africa at Port Elizabeth.
But despite this, he couldn’t stop the accolades coming his way after proving his consistency with yet another half-century.
Here’s how the micro-blogging site Twitter reacted to the elegant left-hander’s solid innings.
Did you know Chris Rogers since 2006 has made most first-class runs in England than any other batsman – over 11000 runs! #Ashes #Ashes2015

All you can ask for is consistency in a player & Chris Rogers delivers on that front, 7 fifty plus totals on the bounce. #Ashes2015

STAT ALERT: Chris Rogers has become first opening batsman in Test history to register seven 50s in consecutive innings. #Ashes #EngvAus

I will be first to admit that I wasn’t a fan of Rogers opening, but you can’t knock consistency. Something all players strive for. #Ashes

Nervous nineties, nevertheless #chrisrogers has been an operative opener for australia in tests in recent times.
