Pakistan Prime Minister Nawaz Sharifs special envoy Shaharyar Khan called on Prime Minister Manmohan Singh on Friday and conveyed his governments sincere desire to move forward on improving relations with India.
Khan gave Singh a letter that he had brought from his Prime Minister containing warm expressions of goodwill,and good wishes for Singh,the government and the people of India,a statement from the Pakistan High Commission in Delhi said.
The letter conveyed Pakistans sincere desire to move forward on improving relations with India,it said.
Shaharyar met National Security Adviser Shivshankar Menon and Foreign Secretary Ranjan Mathai as well. He will also call on External Affairs Minister Salman Khurshid.
