Infosys wins harassment case filed by employee in US

In a temporary relief to Infosys,a US court has dismissed a case filed last year by its employee,Jack Jay Palmer against the IT company

In a temporary relief to Infosys,a US court has dismissed a case filed last year by its employee,Jack Jay Palmer against the IT company. Jay claimed that Infosys harassed him after he blew the whistle on the companys alleged violation of US visa rules. The dismissal of the case, however, has no bearing on the case of flouting visa norms, which is being investigated separately.

Todays decision confirms what we have been saying from the beginning, that Palmers claims of retaliation were completely unfounded. This is a company built on core values that include leadership by example, integrity and transparency, said Infosys CEO SD Shibulal.

Jay had accused Infosys of using short-term business visit visas (B-1) instead of work visas (H-1B) which are more expensive and difficult to get.
