First batch of imported H1N1 vaccine sent to states

Confirmed to be safe for human use,the first consignment of imported H1N1 vaccine manufactured by Sanofi Pasteur was dispatched from Delhi to various states.

Confirmed to be safe for human use by the Drug Controller General of India,the first consignment of imported H1N1 vaccine manufactured by French firm Sanofi Pasteur was dispatched from Delhi to various states on Tuesday.

Of the 1.5 million doses imported by the Health Ministry,about 5 lakh doses were on Wednesday sent to Andhra Pradesh,Goa,Kerala,Tamil Nadu,Puducherry,Lakshadweep,Madhya Pradesh,Gujarat,Karnataka,West Bengal,Bihar,Chhattisgarh,as also the CRPF and the BSF. To begin with,the vaccine will be administered to health workers and paramilitary personnel.
