AIEEE exam rescheduled to May 11

CBSE has rescheduled the All India Engineering/Architecture Entrance Examination AIEEE 2011 date from May 8 to May 11

The Central Board of Secondary Education CBSE has rescheduled the All India Engineering/Architecture Entrance Examination AIEEE 2011 date from May 8 to May 11.

All candidates who missed the AIEEE due to the confusion after the question paper leak on Sunday,will now have to appear for the AIEEE on May 11.

The day was rescheduled after candidates complained that the date clashed with a few other examinations like the Banaras Hindu University BHU entrance test.

CBSE officials said,We had to reschedule because there were other professional exam taking place on May 8.

The officials said those candidates who could not appear in AIEEE because of some administrative reasons should register online on the CBSE website and their roll numbers will remain the same.

Candidates who could not appear for their online AIEEE because the same centre had an AFMC exam will now have to appear in a pen-paper test.

Delhi HC refuses to stay examination

The Delhi High Court on Thursday refused to stay the AIEEE on May 11.

A division bench of Chief Justice Dipak Misra and Justice Sanjiv Khanna rejected a plea for stay of the second phase of the examination but issued a notice to the HRD Ministry and CBSE to file their replies by May 18 on a batch of petitions seeking a directive to the organisers to conduct a fresh test for all the students.

The bench said the result of the AIEEE-2011 would be subject to the outcome of the petitions.

A group of AIEEE candidates,who had appeared for the exam after a delay of three hours due to the question paper leak on May 1,approached the HC seeking cancellation of both examinations 1st and 2nd phase.
