In the post tea session of Day Two,with the game hanging in the balance after the dismissal of Sachin Tendulkar, things got to a head in the middle for the first time in the series. What started as a spat between new batsman Ravindra Jadeja and James Pattinson soon saw Peter Siddle and both skippers involved. Pacer James Pattinson exchanged words with Jadeja, and Warner, positioned at mid-on,joined in,mumbling a few words at MS Dhoni. Jadeja,at the non-strikers end, retorted by showing the handle of his bat which provoked Warner to complain to the umpire. Despite the involvement of the umpires,Warner and Jadeja had another go at each other. As Watson was walking past the Indian skipper,he himself got engaged in a war of words with Dhoni. In the same over, after the verbal spat, the third ball was played by Dhoni towards square-leg and Siddles throw narrowly missed Dhoni, who reacted angrily. During the drinks break, the umpires again calmed the players down and this time it worked.
