Uttarakhand Governor Baby Rani Maurya has issued orders to not be addressed as ‘her excellency the governor’. Maurya issued the order through the secretary to governor RK Sudhanshu in an official release, reports ANI.

As per the orders issued to this effect, she will now be addressed as “the honourable governor” instead.

Baby Rani Maurya was sworn in as the Governor of Uttarakhand on August 26. She replaced Krishna Kant Paul as the seventh Governor of the state.
