Train derailment today, Train derailment news: Over 20 wagons of two goods trains derailed near Chandil station in Jharkhand’s Seraikela-Kharswan district early Saturday, disrupting train services on the Chandil–Tatanagar section of the South Eastern Railway (SER).

The railway administration is working on a war footing to restore train movement on both up and down tracks, which have been affected by the derailment. Several trains, including long-distance services, have been diverted, short-terminated, or cancelled as a result of the incident.

In a statement, the SER said: “Two Goods trains got derailed between Chandil and Nimdih infringing Chandil-Gunda Bihar section also in Adra Division of South Eastern Railway on 09.08.2025 at 02:45 hours.”
