Tripura govt distributes vans for doorstep service delivery in West district
People can apply for marriage registration certificates and e-shram cards and pay electricity and gas bills through the vans.

The Tripura West district administration on Thursday distributed vans to ensure doorstep delivery of services in rural areas where internet facilities are rarely available.
“Common Service Centre mobile vans have been distributed in nine blocks including Old Agartala, Dukli, Mandai, Jirania, Hezamara and Bamutia in the West district. The initiative was taken to give on-the-spot delivery of services to people. Our state government has taken various programmes to empower women and we are providing community services through women involved with self-help groups,” said West District Magistrate Vishal Kumar.
“Earlier, mobile vans were distributed in four blocks. Today, they were distributed in five blocks. People will be able to avail of facilities like getting marriage registration certificates and e-shram cards as well as paying electricity and gas bills through the mobile vans,” he added.
Such vans were distributed in the Gomati and Sepahijala districts last year.
In 2022, then deputy chief minister Jishnu Devvarma flagged off 27 Common Service Centre vans for rural areas.
