Days before the consecration ceremony of the Ram temple in Ayodhya on January 22, Tripura Chief Minister Manik Saha said on Tuesday that India is already experiencing ‘Ram Rajya’ under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

Speaking to the media after joining a Swacchta Abhiyan at a Kali temple in Ker Chowmuhani in Agartala city, Saha lauded Modi for bringing transparency in governance and all-round development through the ‘Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas’ initiative.

Emphasising the benefits of governance and development under BJP rule since PM Modi came to power in 2014, Saha said the poorest of the poor were touched by development and such all-encompassing progress was only possible in ‘Ram Rajya’.

Speaking about the benefits of ‘Ram Rajya’, Saha claimed it would ensure justice and benefits for everyone and said India is going through this phase under PM Modi.

Crediting the PM for the consecration of the Ram temple “after 500 years of struggle”, Saha said the inauguration of the temple will be a landmark in the memory of all Indians.

Earlier this week, a statewide cleanliness drive was launched in Tripura ahead of the beginning of the Ram temple journey. Saha, Union Minister of State for Social Justice and Empowerment Pratima Bhoumik, Agartala Mayor Dipak Majumder and others were seen hitting the streets with brooms and mops.
