Tremors were felt in several parts of Telangana as a 5.3 magnitude earthquake hit the region. The epicentre of the earthquake was at Mulugu. At some places in Mulugu, people ran out of their homes. However, no casualties have been reported so far. According to the National Centre for Seismology, the tremor was recorded at around 7.27 am on Wednesday at a depth of 40 km.
