Swaraj India targets AAP on donors list

Swaraj India also sought to corner AAP on the issue of “discrepancies” in the donors’ list submitted by the party to tax officials and what had been put up on its website. AAP has described the error as “inadvertent”. “This again is incredulous. How come the party made these errors for two consecutive years? Why were these not corrected even after first notice from IT authorities?” Swaraj India asked.

AAP national treasurer Raghav Chadha had on Monday explained that “initially, there was an inadvertent error in the list submitted to the income tax department, which has been rectified in the revised ITR after receiving the notice.” “To revise an IT return is the legitimate right of a party. Not even single donation is concealed by Aam Aadmi Party,” he said.
