The Indigenous People’s Front of Tripura (IPFT), a constituent of the ruling BJP-led coalition in the state, Thursday held a meeting in Agartala to discuss the party’s organisational issues and the preparations for next year’s TTAADC polls.

“TTAADC (Tripura Tribal Areas Autonomous District Council) polls will be held in 2026. In the 2021 TTAADC polls, the party was defeated due to conspiracies and organisational weaknesses. Now, many who deserted the party have returned. We hope to get good results in the coming polls compared to the past,” said IPFT leader Suklacharan Noatia, who is also the lone minister from IPFT in the state Cabinet.

“We shall continue to follow our party’s former supremo N C Debbarma’s ideology,” added Noatia.
