The outfit in an e-mail to various local media called for the 1.30 am to 5.30 pm strike on August 15.

Security forces have created a war like situation in the state,ULFA central publicity committee member Anu Buragohain said in the mail.

However,essential services like medical,water,fire brigade,electricity have been exempted from the purview of the strike.
