While Santa Cruz has a history of trouble during elections,Chimbel has a slum locality,Indiranagar, which said,is a hideout for anti-social elements.

Vardhan said the election machinery will ensure that there is peace in these areas so that people don’t hesitate to come out and vote in large numbers.

The officials have also prepared an extensive list of sensitive and hyper sensitive polling booths.

There are 77 such booths, which will have additional police presence,Vardhan said.
