SPO killed by militants in Kishtwar

A Special Police Officer (SPO) was on Tuesday killed allegedly by militants of Hizbul Mujahideen in Kishtwar district of Jammu and Kashmir,police said.

Three militants of Hizbul Mujahideen barged into the house of SPO Masood Ahmed in Kursa village,320 kms from here,and opened indiscriminate firing on him from close range,they said.

While Ahmed died on the spot,the militants,identified by the villagers as Abdul Zakir,Junaid and Imran,escaped from the spot,they said.

Security forces have rushed to the spot,police said.
