Setting up of Transworld Muslim University demanded

Activists of Jamiat-e-Ahli Hadees today staged a peaceful demonstration here demanding Jammu and Kashmir Legislature pass a bill for setting up of a Transworld Muslim University.

The slogan-shouting activists demanded passage of the bill for establishing the Transworld Muslim University,a dream of slain Jamiat-e-Ahli Hadith president Moulana Shoukat Ahmad Shah.

After approval by the state cabinet for establishment of the university and allotment of land,the matter was pending in the Legislative Council,a party spokesman said.

The protesters also demanded punishment for the killers of Shah who died in a powerful bomb blast outside a mosque near Budshah Chowk on April 8,he said.
