‘Process to select Haj pilgrims seeping with corruption’

Madhya Pradesh Jamiat-Ulma president said the government should make this process transparent.

Madhya Pradesh Jamiat-Ulma president Haji Mohammad Haroon today alleged that there was corruption in the process of selection of people for Haj and said the government should make this process transparent.

“Those going to Haj have been facing problems for a number of years,” Haroon said at a press conference here.

Corruption has seeped into the process of sending people for Haj,he claimed and added that the system should be made transparent to ensure that the problems are sorted out.

Haroon said those who are selected for the Haj are lodged in poor accommodation.

A high-level probe should be conducted into the matter and the Haj Committee of India should be made responsible in the issue,he said.
