The Jammu and Kashmir government has sanctioned an amount of Rs 1.04 crore for rehabilitation of 26 surrendered militants in Bandipora district. "Rs 1.04 crore has been sanctioned in favour of 26 surrendered militants for their rehabilitation in district Bandipora during the last financial year," District Magistrate of Bandipora,Manzoor Ahmad Lone,said at a review meeting here yesterday. Lone said the administration also sanctioned an ex-gratia relief of Rs 3.16 crore in favour of 79 cases of militancy-related deaths and damage to property in the district during the same period. "The amount included Rs one lakh each,sanctioned in favour of 23 death cases related to militancy incidents," he said.
