Development of Gujarat not monopoly of Modi: Cong

Congress hit out at Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi for his remarks that the party was coming in the way of development of the state.

Congress on Friday hit out at Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi for his remarks that the party was coming in the way of development of the state.

“Development of Gujarat is not the monopoly of Modi. He should keep away from making false propaganda that Congress comes in the way of state’s development,” Gujarat Pradesh Congress Committee president Siddharth Patel said,reacting to

Modi’s charge.

Congress leaders like Dr Jivraj Mehta,Madhavsinh Solanki,Amarsinh Chaudhary,Chimanbhai Patel and Shankarsinh Waghela have also contributed to state’s development,Patel added.

Blaming Modi for the poor performance of BJP in the Lok Sabha elections,Patel said,”In the parliamentary elections everybody knows who was responsible for BJP’s debacle.”

He said Congress workers were not discouraged by the results of the recent assembly by-polls.

“They (Congress workers) will come out with more strength and vigour,” Patel added.
