“The delay in announcing the terms of reference is worrying. It raises the suspicions among the people. We are demanding that the Centre expedite the whole matter,” JAC Convener C Kodandaram told said.
The JAC would decide its future course of action after the TOR are announced,he said.
The TOR should be in accordance with the December nine statement made by Union Home Minister P Chidambaram that the process of formation of Telangana would be initiated,he said.
Asked about the February seven deadline set by the JAC failing which the MLAs and MLCs from Telangana region would press for acceptance of their resignations,Kodandaram said the JAC would wait for TOR to be announced.
“We will decide the future course of action after the TOR are announced. If we finalise our strategy now,we may have to review that later”,he said.
The JAC took exception to the reported remarks made by TDP MLA Kodali Venkateswara Rao from coastal Andhra against pro-Telangana agitation.
