Twenty three people were injured on Monday when country-made bombs used to scare away wild boars in farms exploded after a tractor ran over a bag containing the explosives at a bus stand in Tiruppur district. The injured included six women and four students,police said. A man,supplying the bombs to farmers in nearby area,had kept the bag when the tractor drove over it while taking reverse,causing a loud explosion at the Kuzhumam bus stand near Udumalpet,70 km from here,police said. Twenty three persons standing nearby were hit by splinters and have been hospitalised in Udumalpet,they said,adding a woman was admitted to government hospital here.
