Punjabi actor-singer Diljit Dosanjh meets PM Modi: ‘A fantastic start to 2025’

PM Modi also shared a glimpse of their interaction on X, saying, “A great interaction with Diljit Dosanjh! He’s truly multifaceted, blending talent and tradition. We connected over music, culture and more.”

“A very memorable interaction,” Modi said on Instagram, sharing a short clip of their interaction. In the clip PM lauded Dosanjh’s rise from modest beginnings to make a name for himself internationally.

“He has been winning over people,” Modi is heard telling Dosanjh in a lighter vein, referring to the first name of the famous Punjabi artiste.

Dosanjh expressed his admiration for Modi’s sentiments towards his mother and the Ganga river.

Dosanjh recently concluded his “Dil-Luminati India Tour” in Ludhiana on Tuesday. The event, held at the Punjab Agriculture University ground on New Year’s Eve, marked the finale of the singer’s two-month nationwide journey, which began in New Delhi on October 26.

The actor-singer was recently criticised by some rightwing groups over a host of issues.
