Khalsa shifted to DMCH, daughter says apex court directions give hope

Reacting to the Supreme Court orders on prison term remission,  Kaur said the decision was a ‘step closer’ to her father’s demands. “Now it is a question of what will be the reaction of the state government,” she said.

Other Sikh organisations too have called the SC directions a ‘test’ for the Badal government.

Kanwarpal Singh, spokesperson of Dal Khalsa said, “Till yesterday, the government was saying that nothing is in their hands. After the directions, now there is no escape route. The Badal government has been put to the test now and if implemented, it can give relief to many Sikh prisoners who are languishing in jails after completing their terms.”
