Congress strategy in Haryana: Attack Badal ‘hypocrisy’, Modi ‘false claims’

The Punjab Congress is also making an issue of Modi skipping paying obeisance at Golden Temple during his visit to Amritsar.

Attacking the SAD-INLD alliance for “CM Badal’s double standards” and Prime Minister Narendra Modi for cross-border tension with Pakistan and China is the PPCC’s strategy to garner votes in Haryana.

This was revealed by PPCC chief Partap Singh Bajwa, who will share the stage with AICC Vice President Rahul Gandhi and Haryana Pradesh Congress chief Ashok Tanwar in Kallianwali tomorrow.

“We will attack the Badals for their double standards. While in Punjab they have struck an alliance with the BJP, they are supporting BJP’s rival in the form of INLD in Haryana. This is not done. They have to be hammered for their hypocrisy,” Bajwa told The Indian Express.

“Modi used to claim he had a 56-inch chest. Where is that chest now? After a long time Pakistan has violated the International Borders and even killed our civilians. What has he been able to do? Similar is the situation with China. All the PM’s claims have fallen flat.”

The Punjab Congress is also making an issue of Modi skipping paying obeisance at Golden Temple during his visit to Amritsar. “He is the only one who has not done so. How could he be the Prime Minister of a secular country?” Bajwa added.
