Prime Minister Narendra Modi will visit Bihar Wednesday, where he will inaugurate the new campus of Nalanda University, located close to the ruins of the ancient university in Rajgir. The event will also be attended by External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar and ambassadors from 17 partner countries, as per officials. Even as the new university started functioning in 2014 from a makeshift location with 14 students, the construction work on the new campus started only in 2017.
