Parliament Monsoon Session: Both the Houses of the Parliament have been adjourned till 11 am Monday (August 4) amid uproar by Opposition over discussion on Bihar SIR. Opposition leaders have submitted multiple adjournment notices demanding a discussion on the Bihar electoral roll revision in both Houses of Parliament. Notices have been given for an adjournment motion in the Lok Sabha and under Rule 267 in the Rajya Sabha. The protests have disrupted both Houses of Parliament on a daily basis during the ongoing Monsoon session. The Bill seeks to consolidate laws related to ports, promote integrated port development, facilitate ease of doing business, and ensure optimum utilization of India’s coastline. Trump Tariffs: US President Donald Trump announced 25 per cent tariffs on India, to come in effect from August 1.
