Odisha CM clears air over BJP’s questions on ‘the woman’

“She has neither been allotted a government quarter nor have her travel bills been paid by the government of Odisha,” said Patnaik.

Taking a potshot at the opposition BJP, whose MLAs had earlier raised the issue in the assembly, Patnaik said, “We should use the precious time in this august house to debate on issues of public interest.”

Leader of Opposition Jayanarayan Mishra had raised the issue in the assembly during the monsoon session while the BJP’s Kalahandi MP Basanta Panda also raised questions on her.

On Tuesday, BJP’s Bhubaneswar MP Aparajita Sarangi took to Twitter to question the woman and to target the BJD.

The Bhubaneswar MP noted, “There are media reports suggesting that she could be a nurse or therapist. If this were true, this is all the more concerning and the CM of an important State cannot be left to private and secretive treatment. Who selected this therapist? What kind of therapy is going on?”
