The National Commission for Women (NCW) on Wednesday issued summons to Uttar Pradesh BJP leader Ranjeet Srivastava for allegedly making offensive remarks against the Hathras victim. The NCW directed Srivastava to appear before it by October 26 and personally give an explanation for his remarks. “He is not fit to be called a leader of any party. In a video circulating on social media, Srivastava, a BJP leader from Barabanki, is seen making allegedly offensive remarks against the Hathras woman.
