NDA CMs Conclave: PM Modi will chair a conclave of the NDA chief ministers and deputy chief ministers in Chandigarh today after the oath-taking ceremony between 3 pm to 7 pm. The agenda for the conclave is said to focus on crucial national development issues, including discussions on the observance of Sanvidhan Ka Amrut Mahotsav (75 years of the Constitution) and the commemoration of the 50th anniversary of the Emergency. Notably, the gathering is set to feature participation from at least 18 NDA CMs and 16 deputies.

As Haryana CM Nayab Singh Saini gears up to take the oath of office, AAP Delhi Minister Saurabh Bharadwaj on Thursday took a dig claiming that the Haryana CM would be changed in few days due to internal conflict within the BJP.
"This oath was to be taken on the day of Dussehra. There is a lot of infighting in the BJP on who will be the CM. The infighting has somehow been controlled for now and the swearing-in is taking place but the CM of Haryana will be changed again in some days..." he said.
Meanwhile, Several Bharatiya Janata Party ruled states Chief Ministers on Thursday arrived in Haryana to take part in the oath-taking ceremony of CM-designate Nayab Singh Saini.

Ranbir Gangwa was a deputy speaker in the previous government, while Krishan Lal Panwar resigned from the Rajya Sabha after he made it to the Vidhan Sabha in the recent Assembly polls.

Haryana BJP President Mohan Lal Badoli ahead of CM-elect Nayab Singh Saini’s swearing-in ceremony in Panchkula told PTI, "This historic day has come with the blessings of the people. Under the guidance of our PM, the swearing-in ceremony will take place, which will be a first and a historic event in Haryana's political history,"
Meanwhile, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will chair a national conclave of all chief ministers and deputy chief ministers of the ruling National Democratic Alliance in Chandigarh today.
The NDA meeting and CM conclave will be held between 3 pm to 7 pm.
The agenda of the meeting includes national development issues. It will also discuss subjects like the observance of Sanvidhan Ka Amrut Mahotsav and the "Year of 50th anniversary of the attempt to murder democracy.
In a press release, BJP said that almost all 20 Chief Ministers of NDA and their deputies will take part in the conclave.
BJP President JP Nadda, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh and Home Minister Amit Shah, Andhra CM Chandra Babu Naidu and Nagaland CM Nephew Rio will attend the high-level meeting.
According to the release, the proceedings of this CM Conclave will start after the swearing-in ceremony of newly elected Haryana CM Nayab Singh Saini.
A total of 13 CMs and 16 Deputy CMs belong to the BJP whereas Chief Ministers of Maharashtra, Andhra Pradesh, Bihar, Sikkim, Nagaland and Meghalaya ruled by NDA partners of the BJP will be present at the meeting.

Ahead of the oath-taking ceremony, Haryana Chief Minister designate Nayab Singh Saini confirmed that a host of leaders, including NDA partners and CMs of BJP-ruled states and its allies will be attending the ceremony. Addressing the reporters, Saini further stated that an NDA CMs' conclave would be held for the CMs and Deputy CMs of several BJP-ruled states after the oath-taking ceremony.
Haryana Governor Bandaru Dattatreya will administer the oath of office and secrecy to Nayab Singh Saini, who will become the chief minister for the second time.
Saini will take oath as the chief minister of Haryana at a ceremony in Panchkula where Prime Minister Narendra Modi, BJP bigwigs and NDA partners will be in attendance on Thursday.
Ministers of Saini's cabinet are also likely to be sworn in at the ceremony. Haryana can have a maximum of 14 ministers, including the chief minister.
Ahead of his swearing-in ceremony Haryana Chief Minister designate Nayab Singh Saini offered prayers at Valmiki Temple in Panchula on the occasion of Maharishi Valmiki Jayanti.
Speaking on the occasion, Nayab Saini said, "It is a matter of good fortune for me that today is the birth anniversary of Lord Valmiki. He worked to end the evils prevalent in the society and gave a message to the society. Today it is my good fortune that I have got the opportunity to worship at the feet of Lord Valmiki. I extend my heartfelt congratulations and best wishes to all the people of the state on his birth anniversary." Further, speaking on the formation of the government, Nayab Saini said, "This double engine government along with PM Narendra Modi will work to take Haryana forward at a fast pace.
He also highlighted that today, the people who have put their faith in BJP is the result of Modi ji's policies.
"I thank the people of Haryana. Today people are getting jobs in Haryana government without any 'Kharcha or Parcha'. This has instilled confidence in the youth," Saini said.

Despite facing heat over the Congress debacle in the recent Haryana Assembly polls, state party veteran and former chief minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda has again set his sights on the post of the Congress Legislature Party (CLP) leader, who would be the new Leader of the Opposition (LoP) in the state Assembly.
Hooda held a meeting of 31 newly-elected Congress MLAs out of a total of 37 at his Delhi residence as a “show of strength”. This was done on the eve of the Congress MLAs’ meeting to be held in Chandigarh today to elect the CLP leader.
The All India Congress Committee (AICC) leadership has deputed three senior leaders – ex-Rajasthan CM Ashok Gehlot, Ajay Maken and Punjab LoP Pratap Singh Bajwa – as the party observers for the Thursday meeting.
After its complaint to the Election Commission (EC) about alleged irregularities of vote counting in seven Assembly seats in Haryana, the Congress submitted an updated memorandum with complaints from 13 more seats.
The BJP won 12 of the seats while one was bagged by the Indian National Lok Dal (INLD). Among the 13 seats, 11 saw direct contests between the BJP and Congress; one saw a contest between the INLD and the Congress; and one between the BJP and an Independent.
With the memorandum, submitted on Friday, the Congress also attached a complaint from the party’s Panipat City candidate Varinder Kumar, who alleged that many Electronic Voting Machine (EVM) control units during counting showed 99% battery level. He also alleged his election agents were not allowed to carry copies of Form 17C that records the number of votes cast in a polling station into the counting halls and that the agents were unable to match the data, leading to suspicion of tampering.
The 2024 Haryana Assembly elections, held on October 5, resulted in significant changes in the state's political landscape. The results were announced on October 8, revealing a competitive race primarily between the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and the Indian National Congress (INC).
The BJP and Congress increased their tally across 17 Assembly constituencies reserved for Scheduled Castes (SCs) in Haryana, with the Jannayak Janta Party led by Dushyant Chautala failing to open its account.
Meanwhile, The Congress saw its victory margins falling in three (Shahbad, Sadhaura, Jhajjar) of the nine seats it won. It increased its margin in the remaining six seats — Kalanaur, Kalawali, Uklana, Mulana, Guhla and Ratia.
Among prominent candidates, BJP candidate and former MP Sunita Duggal lost to Congress’s Jarnail Singh in Ratia. Singh defeated Duggal by 21,442 votes. Former minister and Congress leader Geeta Bhukkal retained her constituency, Jhajjar, by defeating BJP’s Kaptan Birdhana. Pradeep Narwal of the Congress, who contested from Bawani Khera, was defeated by BJP’s Kapoor Singh by 21,779 votes.
